From October 10–19, the Gentry Open 2025 turned Bulacan into the center of Philippine tennis.
Held at the 2,000-seat CSA Tennis Stadium, the 11-day event brought together top Filipino and international players, collegiate teams, and emerging juniors for a festival that merged competition and culture.
With a ₱2 million total prize pool, the richest in local tennis history, the Gentry Open became a proof of concept: that local sport deserves professional coverage, live storytelling, and infrastructure that brings out the best in its community.
Men’s and women’s singles and doubles events headlined the program, alongside collegiate, legends, and community divisions — all designed to grow the game at every level.
“First time kong maka-experience ng ganitong klaseng tournament sa Philippines.”
“This is by far the best tournament in the Philippines.”
That was how AJ Lim, the country’s No. 1 men’s player, described the event.

Every detail felt deliberate — from the live coverage and production design to the storytelling that extended beyond the court.
“Hindi siya pinilit, hindi siya minadali — lahat ng detalye, pinaghandaan.”
His words echoed a shared sentiment among players and fans who saw the Gentry Open not just as another competition, but as a new benchmark for what Philippine tennis could be.
Behind it all is Hayb Anzures, founder of Gentry Timepieces, who brought the same precision and vision that shaped his brand into sport.
“We’re not just organizing tournaments,” he said. “We’re building a community and an ecosystem that supports players, coaches, and fans.”
We’re not just organizing tournaments — we’re building a community.
The Gentry Open’s success points toward a new model for local sport — one that combines investment, athlete storytelling, and fan experience. A reminder that the game grows when the stage is raised.
